Right outside of our pottery shop door, sits an enormous & gorgeous maple tree. She has been here since we bought the place in 1976. We have climbed it, tapped it, raked it's leaves but mostly- it is our time-keeper, standing guard outside our shop and reminding us of time passing by. Dead branches shed in the winter, providing sap in the spring while starting to bud out, then an explosion of green in the summer, followed by the awesome color changes & dropped art of the fall, making our yard around it glow in almost neon yellows, oranges and reds. (Until we rake- which we aren't always the greatest at!)
